Since the opening of its first residential tower in 2018, all eyes have been on Southbank, the 7-acre master plan along the South Branch of the Chicago River created by Taylor Johnson client Lendlease. Soon, construction will begin on The Reed, a 41-story high-rise that will bring the first for-sale residences to Southbank. When real estate news site Urbanize was preparing to launch its Chicago edition, we knew the next phase of Southbank would make for a compelling story. The resulting article previewed the tower’s industrial-inspired design, wide range of floor plans and amenities, and innovative LendLEASE and Buy program that will allow buyers at The Reed to lease next door at The Cooper and recoup a portion of rent paid as a closing credit.
