Fulton Market has notched another win, further positioning the neighborhood as a bright spot in Chicago’s office market. Scientific and engineering consulting firm Thornton Tomasetti recently announced it was moving its offices to 600 West Fulton, a loft office building that was redeveloped by Taylor Johnson client Parkside Realty. Originally built in 1895 to house Sears, Roebuck and Co.’s first warehouse, 600 West Fulton pioneered the loft office movement in Fulton Market as one of the area’s first redeveloped industrial spaces. Parkside completely renovated the building in 2021 to offer tenants modern, open floor plates with exposed ceiling systems; hands-free, high-speed elevators; a state-of-the-art AirPHX air and surface disinfectant system; and an array of new amenities.
