TJCOG Livability Self-Assessment Tool for Local Governments  Receives
2017 Aging Achievement Award!

We are so excited to share the great news that the TJCOG Livability Self-Assessment Tool for Local Governments is the recipient of a 2017 n4a Aging Achievement Award from the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging!

The tool will be honored in the Community Planning and Livable Communities category at the Aging Innovations & Achievement Awards Luncheon during the n4a Annual Conference on July 30th. Additionally, it will be featured in the conference's 2017 Best Practices publication.

The TJCOG Livability Self-Assessment Tool for Local Governments provides a unique process for local governments to assess the livability of their community for older adults, and other vulnerable residents. The assessment takes into account many factors that attribute to better quality of life including access to housing, social services and transportation.

Join me in congratulating both our Aging & Caregiver Services and Regional Planning staff for their joint effort on this amazing tool!
