Sky Ranch Tree Planting Blessings
What a fine time was had by a motivated group of tree planters and seed spreaders at Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp on Saturday May 22nd! Although the drive to and from camp was a bit more of an adventure than expected on the gravel road from Highway 14, all were able to enjoy some mountain splendor as well as see first hand the devastation of the 2020 Cameron Peak fire. The SR staff was so helpful in laying out what needed to be done, and following the planting Brad Abbott, Executive Director, gave a fine tour of the old and new camp facilities. The following tells the story of how and what was accomplished.
  • 26 members of the 301 Faith Partners including 5 youth made the trip
  • 232 pine, juniper and spruce saplings planted
  • 200 lbs. of native grass seed applied
  • 3 tasty meals provided by SR staff
  • 1 soaking rain just after the planting
  • 0 people injured, but some sore muscles ;)

Thanks be to God to all who participated in this uplifting experience and for their safe journeys!

301 Faith Partners Begin Weekly Food Delivery
301 Faith Partners now has all of the volunteers needed for this new program which begins Tuesday, June 1. Thanks to all from each of our three congregations who have responded! An Orientation for volunteers is planned for 2:15, Tuesday, June 1 prior to beginning our first delivery of food to families, immediately following. The need for large brown paper bags used to make the delivery continues - please leave bags you may have to offer in Fellowship Hall.

It has been through our ISAAC involvement and Social & Eco Justice Team work, that 301 Faith Partners have committed to take over this weekly food delivery for immigrant families in our community through the summer months ahead. This program has been set up and provided through Bohemian Foundation, Fort Collins restaurants, Fuerza Latina and ISAAC. It is a program that helps families who have lost jobs and have no income resources to replace that loss. The number of families is now going down as jobs are becoming more available, but the need is expected to continue through the summer months. Plymouth congregation has been fulfilling this need for the last 10 months, and a new church host was needed for the summer.

If you can help or have questions about this program, contact Linn Zink, 301 Faith Partners,
