Mid-Day Prayer on Wednesdays from 12-1 pm
|
|
Since we are not able to gather for worship in person on Saturday and Sunday, we are inviting you to share a time of Mid-Day Prayer, in the sanctuary, from Noon to 1 pm on Wednesdays. This will be a time of personal prayer and contemplative reflection, and prayer resources will be available if needed. We will still be limited participation (10 people at a time) per our building policy. For the safety of others, you are required to wear a mask, and to sit distanced apart, unless you are with your own family unit.
|
|
FOCOLU's next Habitat build day is Saturday, October 24. It is first come first serve for the THREE spots we have for FIVE churches. Let Steph Dugger (970-223-9119) know as soon as possible if you would like to build that day.

On Saturday, October 31 we will be celebrating All Saints Eve in the memorial garden. Starting at 6 pm we will make luminaries to remember our loved ones who have died (both in the last year and before that). We will light the area of the memorial with the luminaries and end that time in prayer. Everyone is invited to stay and watch Coco together. There will be candy bags for the kids (and kids at heart). We will have pre-packaged snacks available to eat during the movie. We have new patio heaters, but to make sure you dress warm enough and bring blankets as well.

301 Faith Partners will be working together again for the Annual Turkey Round Up on Sunday, November 22. More specifics to come closer to the event.

Fire Update from Sky Ranch
|
|
From 10/15/2020 3:00 pm:
According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office report we know that that the Cameron Peak Fire made another aggressive run yesterday, October 14th, turning it into the largest fire in Colorado state history. At this point, we understand that no buildings at Sky Ranch have been harmed. A large section of unburnt forest on the north side of the property still leaves Sky Ranch at risk. Winds speeds on the fire are not as high today, but still pose the threat of spreading the fire further.
Thank you for you continued prayers and support!
Size: 164,140 acres
Containment: 56%
Total Personnel: 1,011

After our Anti-racism conference, and our work as a body of Christ towards non-racism, here are a few video links that would be good for us to watch.
- One is from Phil Vischer – creator of Veggie Tales, and he does a great job of laying out the history of race in America. Veggie Tales - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGUwcs9qJXY&feature=emb_logo
- The second link is about how we continue to engage in racism conversations, with our siblings of Christ, and the work that we are called to do as followers of Jesus. Our work is more than reading a book, attending a conference, or watching a video on race, but is a continuation of our progress. A New Normal - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL0HJ2VDSxU

As people of faith, we follow Jesus to direct our days and deeds. We are a non-partisan church, and this guide is not telling us how to vote. However, it is helping us look at the measures from a faith perspective, with recommendations in accordance to our social statements as the ELCA. We will be looking at the ELCA Colorado Ballot Measures Voter Guide in Adult Forum. Click HERE to download.

When does weather cancel church?
Trinity does not have an official cancellation policy, but the rule of the thumb that leadership has agreed upon is that weekly church events will be canceled when Poudre School District delays or cancels events. On the weekends, worship will not be canceled. As always, use your best judgment in poor weather conditions, and know that you are still loved by God if you miss Bible Study, Choir, or Worship. We will post cancellations to our website, facebook page, and a mass email to all of you.
