Update on Reopening the Learning Center at The Literacy Council...

We will be reopening the Learning Center at The Literacy Council in the near future. There will only be three areas for tutoring available. You will need to reserve a spot with me ahead of time to use them. Everyone will need to use hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the Learning Center. You and your learner will be required to wear a mask during your entire session. Tutors will be required to check in at the office so we know who is in the building. There will also be Clorox Wipes for you and your learner to wipe down your area before and after you tutor.  Those wipes will be located on the landing by the elevator. Thank you for your help in keeping the staff, tutors and learners safe.

Additionally, you are welcome to come up to the office and ask for copies to be made. However, we encourage you to plan ahead so we can have them ready for you when you arrive.

Resource for Distance Learning

Hot Potatoes: Interactive Online Exercises
You will need to download this application.
As we move through the current COVID-19 pandemic, it has become crucial to reach out and work with learners remotely. Enjoy Hot Potatoes 7. It is a suite of six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is freeware and you may use it for any purpose or project you like.
Library Updates

Libraries will start reopening but more in a grab and go fashion. Tutoring rooms will not be available. Please continue to meet your learners at a distance or in person at a park or cafe. I will email updates as they are sent to me.
Have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
Wear your masks!
