Flashfood

*NEW*Director of Communications

Location: Remote (USA and Canada)

About Us

Our company is on a mission to reduce food waste and make high-quality, affordable food accessible to everyone. Through our innovative app-based marketplace, we connect shoppers with discounted perishable items while helping retailers turn would-be waste into revenue and meaningful environmental impact. We’re growing quickly across North America and partnering with retailers of all sizes to expand our reach.

If you’re passionate about creating real change for people and the planet, we’d love for you to join us. Your work here will directly contribute to a mission that helps families save money, reduces waste, and builds a more sustainable future.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a Director of Communications to help shape the brand of Flashfood in the world, by telling stories about our business, our technology, our environmental impact and the shoppers and retail partners who love us.

The goal of our Communications function is to raise awareness, drive adoption (for both shoppers and retailers), build trust and loyalty, and increase brand love and affinity.

This dynamic leader will be highly strategic in their approach, inherently collaborative with other internal teams, and deeply curious about all the aspects of the business, our industry and the key stakeholders who are most important to its success. This person is a proactive, forward-thinking professional who can see around corners, and knows how to position the brand in the right way, at the right time, with the right people.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Thrives in a constantly evolving environment (in a good way, we're growing fast!)
  • Thinks strategically across both sides of our marketplace, shopper and retailer, and builds cohesive stories that inform, attract, and create lasting affinity for each
  • Communicates brilliantly, whether in writing, in a room, or through visuals
  • Takes ownership and drives ideas all the way through execution
  • Builds strong relationships inside and outside the company, and knows how to activate them for mutual benefit
  • Balances speed with quality, and short-term wins with long-term thinking
  • Is driven by solving real business problems with measurable impact

What You'll Do

  • Drive the external narrative and overall perception of Flashfood, using outside storytellers (press, creators/influencers, podcasts, etc.) and partners (NGOs, etc.) as your canvas
  • Lead Media Relations, Creator Relations, Government Affairs/NGO Outreach, Industry Relations, Internal Comms, and Social Impact for Flashfood
  • Partner with Marketing to produce campaigns that showcase the brand's impact, and turn our announcements and activity into storytelling opportunities
  • Partner with teams across the company (e.g. Product) to mine for storytelling opportunities that drive the business forward
  • Create and execute an executive visibility strategy, platforming our key execs in press, industry events, and beyond
  • Develop an ongoing slate of consumer PR stories that keep Flashfood topical among our KOLs, and broaden the range of media that covers us
  • Build a cohesive Creator Relations strategy, partnering with third-party creators and influencers to tell brand stories that bring in new audiences and retain current ones
  • Build and nurture relationships with press — both traditional media (print, broadcast, .com) and "new media" (podcasts, Substacks, etc.) — to land stories that advance the brand
  • Lead our relationships with relevant government entities and NGOs, partnering with them to elevate the Flashfood brand and the impact we're having on food waste reduction
  • Partner with People on our internal comms strategy and approach
  • Lead the assembly and dissemination of the annual Impact Report
  • Partner with our PR agency, briefing and guiding them with efficiency and impact

What You'll Bring

  • A deep expertise shaping corporate narratives for high-growth companies, ideally within consumer, tech, or marketplace driven industries
  • At least 8 years experience in a cross section of the following categories: Media Relations, Executive Visibility, Creator Relations, Government Affairs, Internal Comms and Social Impact
  • Strong earned media experience, with an impressive track record of landing stories in a variety of media outlets
  • Extensive experience working across earned media, influencer, editorial, and event-driven communications
  • Strong judgment when it comes to decision making around high-stakes external activity
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Proven ability to execute and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • A high level of ownership and accountability
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and balancing competing priorities
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to define success, measure performance, and adjust based on impact

Nice to Have

  • Experience in product communications
  • Experience working across both the US and Canadian markets
  • Experience working with or for a two-sided marketplace
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and strategies to boost performance

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits
  • 100% remote work with flexibility and trust
  • Mission-driven work that reduces food waste and expands access to affordable food
  • A fast-growing, collaborative team with big ambitions
  • Real opportunities for career growth

*NEW*Senior B2B Marketing Manager

We're looking for a Senior Manager, B2B Marketing who brings an ownership mentality and sits at the intersection of marketing and revenue. This is a B2B and partner marketing seat, not a consumer marketing one: you'll own how Flashfood reaches and engages the enterprise grocery retailers we partner with, combining demand generation and account-based marketing aimed at retail buyers with co-marketing programs built jointly with our retail partners. You'll build the campaigns and account strategies that move buyers from awareness to signed partnership.

Our buyers are senior grocery operators — VPs and Directors of Merchandising, Operations, and Finance at major chains. Our go-to-market is focused and precise by design, which means every program needs to earn its place. You'll have real ownership over strategy and spend, reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications and working closely with our Revenue and Partnerships teams to build a demand engine that's high impact and measurable.

What You'll Do

Own Flashfood's Market Presence

  • Define how Flashfood shows up to enterprise grocery retailers across every buyer touchpoint
  • Build the annual B2B marketing plan, establishing priorities, investment areas, and campaign themes that support revenue goals
  • Develop a deep understanding of grocery retail decision-makers and continuously refine how we engage them
  • Partner with Revenue leadership to identify market opportunities and strategic growth initiatives
  • Act as the connective tissue between Product Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success to ensure a consistent market narrative
  • Lay the groundwork to build and eventually lead a team as the B2B marketing function grows

Build Demand and Create Pipeline

  • Design and execute targeted campaigns that generate engagement and pipeline from priority retailer accounts
  • Develop account-based programs that combine paid media, email, and personalized outreach
  • Build co-marketing programs — joint, partner-funded campaigns developed together with retail partners — alongside retailer-directed demand generation and ABM
  • Create scalable approaches to engaging senior retail decision-makers while maintaining a highly targeted go-to-market motion
  • Leverage buyer signals, intent data, and AI-powered workflows to identify opportunities and activate campaigns
  • Continuously test, optimize, and evolve programs based on performance and business priorities

Establish Flashfood as an Industry Voice

  • Own Flashfood's LinkedIn strategy, including company presence, executive thought leadership, content promotion, and audience growth
  • Build a content strategy that supports awareness, consideration, and deal acceleration across the buyer journey
  • Partner with Product Marketing to translate customer insights, product innovation, and industry trends into compelling stories
  • Create customer success narratives, ROI-focused case studies, and proof points that demonstrate measurable retailer outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to elevate Flashfood's visibility within grocery, retail technology, and sustainability conversations

Create High-Value Customer and Prospect Experiences

  • Lead Flashfood's event and field marketing strategy, including trade shows, retailer meetings, executive dinners, and industry gatherings
  • Design programs that create meaningful interactions with senior grocery leaders and support relationship-building throughout the sales cycle
  • Ensure every event and engagement program has clear objectives, follow-up plans, and measurable business outcomes

Measure Impact and Improve Performance

  • Define the metrics that matter and build reporting that clearly connects marketing activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes
  • Partner with RevOps to strengthen attribution, lead management, and performance visibility across the funnel
  • Evaluate and implement AI, automation, and emerging technologies that improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on campaign, channel, and pipeline performance
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years in Marketing with 5+ in B2B or partner marketing, where the core of your work has been built in direct partnership with, or toward, other brands and organizations — this is not primarily a consumer or brand marketing background
  • Experience marketing within an industry that has gone through major evolution, and having been part of that shift from the B2B side
  • Comfort operating in highly cross-functional environments — you don't think about B2B marketing in a silo
  • A track record of owning strategy and making channel investment decisions
  • Proven campaign strategy and execution experience across channels, including building, tracking, and optimization
  • Experience owning company strategy for trade shows, industry events, hosted dinners, and other field programs
  • Strong content development experience, including campaign copy, targeted emails, and event promotion
  • A strategic thinker and clear communicator who can articulate the plan clearly to both marketing and sales stakeholders
  • Genuine fluency with AI tooling for B2B marketing activations
  • A natural cross-functional partner who keeps internal teams aligned and bought into the B2B marketing strategy

Nice-to-Haves

  • Product marketing experience
  • Direct experience in grocery, retail, or CPG — we're equally open to strong candidates from adjacent enterprise B2B industries with sharp ABM instincts

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits
  • 100% remote work with flexibility and trust
  • Mission-driven work that reduces food waste and expands access to affordable food
  • A fast-growing, collaborative team with big ambitions
  • Real opportunities for career growth

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce

Digital Content Producer

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Organization Overview

For over 130 years, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of businesses in the Los Angeles region. As the region’s most prominent business organization with more than 1,000 member companies, the Chamber’s vision is “A thriving Region for all.” Our priorities revolve around policy development and advocacy, global engagement, and community collaboration for local and regional economic growth and mobility. For more

information, visit www.lachamber.com.

Vision for the Future

Our region is on a path toward numerous opportunities that will yield economic growth, as we prepare to host the world for global sporting events. As one of the state’s largest chambers, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, a five-star accredited Chamber, is well positioned to lead with the bold policy and advocacy to realize the promise of a brighter future for the Los Angeles region.

Position Overview

The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Digital Content Producer to help tell the story of the Chamber's work across policy, business, and community in real time across their digital platforms.

This is a hands-on, field-first role. The right person is as comfortable at a City Council meeting as they are in an edit bay — filming a keynote in the morning, publishing a reel by afternoon, and updating the website before end of day. The Chamber operates at the intersection of business, government, and civic life in one of the most dynamic cities in the world, and this role is responsible for making that visible.

You will own a multimedia content operation capable of capturing, producing, and distributing content that reflects the pace and importance of the Chamber's work. Speed matters here, but so does accuracy, brand consistency, and the judgment to know when to publish fast and when to slow down.

Key Responsibilities

Event Coverage & Real-Time Capture

  • Attend and cover Chamber events, programs, and advocacy activities, including City Council meetings, policy forums, press conferences, and signature events.
  • Capture video, photography, and audio with a story-telling mindset, clean audio on interviews and speeches, proper lighting and framing, B-roll that tells a story.
  • Build and maintain a growing, organized media library — clips, images, soundbites, and archival documentation — that the full team can search and use.
  • Respond quickly to breaking Chamber news or high-profile moments with rapid-turnaround content, often with short notice.

Production & Editing

  • Produce short-form clips, recap videos, reels, and social-first content using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or equivalent tools.
  • Edit photos for web and social use: color correction, cropping, touch-ups, and formatting for platform specs.
  • Extract and repurpose long-form material — speeches, panels, interviews — into shorter assets suitable for email, social, and web
  • Organize, label, and archive all media assets in a shared system accessible to the full team.

Digital Publishing & Storytelling

  • Transform captured media into published content across social media, email, and the Chamber's website
  • Write clean, concise captions and copy that complement multimedia content and reflect the Chamber's voice.
  • Produce content for a social content calendar that balances event-driven content with evergreen storytelling across the Chamber's policy, membership, and community priorities.
  • Update photos, videos, and written content on the Chamber's WordPress website — including newsletters, landing pages, policy updates, and event pages.

Executive & Leadership Visibility

  • Support CEO and senior leadership visibility by capturing and packaging content that reflects their voice, presence, and strategic priorities.
  • Work with the Comms Manager and Director to translate executive communications into digital-first formats.
  • Handle media with discretion, understanding which moments are for documentation and which require editorial judgment before publishing.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Partner with the Policy, Events, Membership, and E&I teams to identify and capture multimedia storytelling opportunities before, during, and after key moments.
  • Receive and prioritize content requests through the team's intake system — managing multiple deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Contribute to the team's AI tooling adoption: using transcription and repurposing tools to accelerate workflow without reducing accuracy or voice consistency.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in content production, multimedia storytelling, digital media, or social media production.
  • Demonstrated experience capturing and editing video and photography in live event environments.
  • Portfolio or reel that shows the range: event coverage, short-form social clips, interview content, and branded storytelling.
  • Experience working within an organization (not just freelance) where brand consistency, approval workflows, and stakeholder relationships are part of the job.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with mobile and DSLR/mirrorless cameras for both video and photo capture.
  • Strong video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or comparable tools.
  • Basic audio equipment knowledge: lavalier mics, shotgun mics, portable recorders — able to capture clean audio in field conditions.
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite for basic graphic creation and asset formatting.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress or similar CMS for content publishing.
  • Comfort with AI-enabled tools for transcription, caption generation, and content repurposing (e.g., Descript, Otter.ai, or similar).

Qualities We're Looking For

  • Fast and reliable — can move from capture to publish in hours, not days, when the moment calls for it.
  • Editorially sharp — able to identify the best 45 seconds of a 45-minute panel and edit a recap that gives it context.• Organizationally disciplined — files are labeled, archived, and findable; deadlines are met without reminders.
  • Politically aware — understands that the Chamber operates in a complex civic environment and that judgment about what to publish, and how, is part of the job.
  • Collaborative — works well with a small team where roles overlap, priorities shift, and everyone covers for each other.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer (CMCO), the Director of Marketing & Communications Strategy serves as the operational and strategic leader of the Marketing & Communications department. This role oversees the Chamber's marketing operations, content strategy, media relations, brand management, project workflows, and communications initiatives while partnering closely with executive leadership.

This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role—not a traditional management layer—designed for someone who enjoys building systems, improving processes, driving execution, and elevating the work of a high-performing team. The Director will oversee day-to-day marketing and communications operations, manage internal and external partners, and help strengthen the Chamber's reputation on the regional, national, and global stage.

  • Establish and enforce brand standards, editorial quality, and production workflows across all channels
