TMA Chicago Partners with Back2School America for the 3rd Annual School Supply Kit Event
By Liz Janczak, Smith Gambrell Russell LLP
| |
|
On June 11, 2024, 12 TMA Chicago/Midwest members along with five of their family members gathered for the chapter’s service event for the third year in a row. TMA partnered with Back2School America, a non-profit organization whose mission is to create and support educational opportunities that enrich the lives of children across the USA. TMA members and their families built 240 school supply kits for local Chicagoland children in need. Each school supply kit contained basic age-appropriate school supplies and a “Note of Inspiration” written by a TMA member.
Thirty-eight percent (38%) of all children in the US live in low-income households and 17% of all children live in families that are at or below the poverty line. Back2School America has provided more than 10 million school supplies to over 340,000 across the country.
The event was hosted by the Crown Family YMCA, who will distribute the school supply kits to local children involved in its programs.
Special thanks goes to the TMA members/firms who provided donations to support this event: Thomas O’Donoghue (CR3 Partners, LLC), Sandy Prabhakar (Armory Group LLC), Neema Varghese (NV Consulting Services), Development Specialists, Inc., and Smith Gambrell & Russell LLP.

Jack O'Connor, Levenfeld Pearlstein LLC
| |
|
The year is in full swing and I’m so glad to see all of the successes we’ve already achieved in 2024. In the past several months, we have seen our leaders and members take “Success through Service,”
to heart and put action behind our commitments to ourselves and each other.
This quarter, I want to speak to one of the three pillars of service outlined in my first message of the year: service to clients. As we are all aware, our clients are the lifeblood of our professional lives. I
am grateful to know that, as the premier trade organization for the turnaround and restructuring industry, our members place client service at the top of their professional priority lists, seeking the
best possible results from situations that are frequently challenging. Read more...

May 28: The I-94 Rivalry Brings TMA Baseball Fans Together
By Erin West, Godfrey & Kahn
| The Milwaukee Committee hosted a fun rivalry party as the Milwaukee Brewers took on the Chicago Cubs at American Family Field. The group secured a private bull pen area in right field, directly on field level! The views were unprecedented and really made you feel like you were “in the action.” The game itself was riveting, as the Cubs pitched seven innings of a no-hitter. An extra inning saw the Brewers fall to the Cubs, 6-3. But fans on both sides celebrated over networking, beverages, a sausage buffet, and of course, Sausage Races! | | |
