A Message From Our Principal
Dear Tolt Families,

I hope your family is having a fun and restful summer. It will be great to see our students on campus again in less in a month!

Below is important information as we get ready for the upcoming school year to start. We will continue to send more information out as we get closer to the first day of school.

Our Back-to-Business Day is on Monday, August 29 from 8-11AM and 12-3PM. While we are looking forward to seeing students and families at this event, attendance is optional as items may be completed online. See below for more information about this day. Student schedules will also be released in Skyward on Monday, August 29 at 8AM. Please know we still have classes to balance before student schedules will be ready to be released in Skyward.

The first day of school on Tuesday, September 6 will again feature our WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) program, where 8th grade WEB leaders will help our 6th graders transition into life as a Tolt Bear. In the morning, our 6th graders and 8th grade WEB leaders will be the only students on campus as they attend a welcome assembly, participate in small-group community-building activities, learn how we do things at Tolt, and take a tour of our campus. This means that on our first day of school on Tuesday, September 6, 6th graders and 8th grade WEB leaders will attend all day, while 7th graders and 8th grade non-WEB leaders will only attend in the afternoon. More information about the first day of school is below.

We want to make this a positive year for your student. Feel free to reach out if there is ever anything we can do for them. We are here to help!

Go Bears!
Amie Karkainen, Principal

First Day of School Schedule - Please Note
First Day of School - September 6th, 2022

The first day of school on Tuesday, September 6th will look different this year as we re-introduce Tolt's WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) program. WEB helps students transition into 6th grade through engaging activities led by 8th grade student leaders.

In the morning, 6th graders and 8th grade WEB leaders will be the only students on campus as they participate in WEB activities. The morning will include a welcome assembly, community-building activities, and a tour of our campus. Our 7th and 8th grade students will arrive in the afternoon for shortened class periods. Here is some important information, with times to note:

*6th graders will catch their bus at the normal time and arrive at Tolt for the start of school at 8:25AM. Breakfast will be available for purchase in the MPR as it normally is in the mornings when students get off the bus. There be a 30-minute lunch scheduled for all 6th graders and 8th grade WEB leaders.

*7th and 8th graders will catch their bus 4 hours later than normal for a 12:25PM start time. (This means if the bus normally picks a student up at 7:38 am, the bus will pick them up at 11:38 am on the first day of school.) Lunch will be available for purchase in the MPR when students get off the bus similarly to how breakfast is served in the mornings. 7th and 8th graders should not arrive on campus until at least noon as their day will not start until 12:25 pm.
