MESSAGE FROM TMS PRESIDENT AND CEO, SHARON J. MERCHANT

Women's History Month

In honor of Women's History Month, we salute our friend and colleague Michelle Damone. Michelle recently lost her long tough fight with cancer. She spent nearly 20 years as an elected official with the Indian Trail Improvement District and worked in several government-appointed positions within the Palm Beach County Commission and other local government agencies. She worked at TMS off and on and started her own business managing campaigns. Michelle was outgoing and passionate about everything she did. Michelle was truly a patriot and lived a life of service. She mentored other women in her personal and professional life and was known to be the one that got things done. Michelle will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. May her courage and passion for community, family, and faith live on.

TMS WORKING WITH BURKHARDT CONSTRUCTION, INC.

TMS is full speed ahead working with the awesome Burkhardt Construction team in the great City of Hollywood. They are in the process of beginning construction for the downtown Hollywood streetscapes project. We held our first meeting with the Merchant Association members and business owners in this area that will be impacted by this construction.

We have the privilege of working closely with Marc Kleisley and Adam Rossmell with the Burkhardt Construction Team and the awesome staff at the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency. Our role in this project is to ensure that excellent communication and public outreach are provided and that the concerns and questions of businesses and residents are heard and answered.

As an industry leader specializing in urban revitalization, Burkhardt Construction has been serving clients throughout the State of Florida for over four decades. Their dedication to client satisfaction and quality construction is the cornerstone of their impeccable reputation.

WHERE HAS SAMMIE BEEN?

Mr. Brown was recently appointed to the Speak Up for Kids Board of Directors. They champion best-interest child advocacy and support the enrichment needs for children within the dependency system to break the cycles of abuse, violence, and crime one child at a time.

He also serves on the International Economic Development Council’s Public Policy and Long Rang Planning Advisory Council. This committee monitors and reviews the organization's legislative affairs and Federal relations, establishing a list of key legislative issues, and recommending strategic and policy actions.

Keiser University invited Mr. Brown to attend the Leadership Business Council Breakfast to hear Timothy D. Leuliette, a private investor and active in various community and non-profit activities. Leuliette retired from a 40-year career in industrial turnarounds, start-ups, and private equity and served as a Chairman of a Federal Reserve Bank Branch.  Mr. Brown attended the Economic Forecast Forum the Executives Association of the Palm Beaches presented. Our President & CEO Sharon Merchant is an active member of this association on behalf of The Merchant Strategy.

SALLY SAYS, BY SALLY MERCHANT

You all know this girl loves to ride in the car. But… when I see the blue backpack and I am invited to go for a really early ride, I know Mom is going on a trip and my guarding days are done until she gets back. At least this one was short because we are really busy at work. Uncle Jim’s dog Diezel gets her for a few days here and there. I would like to eat him. Mom says I may get to go on a trip in Uncle Jim’s fancy camper. There are deer at campgrounds. I would like to chase them. I bet they would taste good. Do bears taste good? I am not afraid of anything. Anyway, my office people need me. Lots of “interesting” people walk by and try to look in. I get rid of them. If any of my fans would like to stop by, please bring chicken and French fries for me so I don’t have to share with Sammie.

That’s all for now.
