Dear St. Agnes Academy - St. Dominic School Families,
Please see below for some important updates about the Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarship (EFS) program for the 2026-27 school year.
For CURRENT EFS Recipients
The renewal application opens Tuesday, December 9, at 12 p.m. (CST). Current recipients must submit a renewal application to continue in the program and will receive top priority for scholarship awards.
A few things to note:
- The Qualified and Universal Scholarship designations applied only to 2025-26. Beginning next year, scholarships will be awarded based on the prioritization outlined in the Education Freedom Act of 2025.
- The renewal application is streamlined from last year's process.

You will receive an email from EFS on December 1 with guidance documents and resources.

You will renew your application through your existing EFS account. Paper applications will not be accepted for renewals.
For NEW Applicants
Applications for students not currently receiving EFS funds will open Tuesday, January 13, at 12 p.m. (CST).
A Reminder for Financial Aid Applicants
Families applying for financial aid are required to apply for the Education Freedom Scholarship unless they are already participating in the Education Savings Account (ESA) program. Please submit proof of application once complete.
Important Deadline
All applications—both renewals and new—must be submitted by Friday, January 30, at 4:00 p.m. (CST).
