  • Once you have made the decision to sell your home, you have committed to moving onward. You must emotionally detach from your soon-to-be former home, so that it can be transformed into a place where others can envision themselves living. 

  • Do not be offended when your Realtor suggests staging your beautiful home. The primary objective of the staging process is to de-personalize your home for broad appeal in an intriguing manner. Nobody wants to be made to feel a voyeur by walking into a property filled with someone else's personal possessions.

  • Do not leave a property vacant and expect to receive top dollar. An empty house exposes all of its flaws and conveys a sad and desperate message suggesting financial woes that could lead to a low-ball offer.
