Join the Kitchen Pack Give-Together Dec. 12!
 A can opener, mixing spoon, spatula and a dish towel - essential kitchen tools, especially for our neighbors seeking housing stability with furnishings and household goods provided by Bridging, a Minnesota nonprofit. Currently serving 80 households each week, Bridging's goal is to give each new home a Kitchen Pack with these four items.
Here is how you can help:
- The key items we're looking for are new or gently used can openers, mixing spoons, spatulas (preferably the kind used for cooking rather than the bowl-scraping style) and dish towels. For gently used items, consider if you'd give them to a friend or family member.
- Give whatever you'd like - individual items and complete packs are welcome and appreciated!
- Consider creating a "Welcome Home" card or note to accompany your donation (this is a great way to get children involved).
- If you give a complete Kitchen Pack, your four items can be packaged in a bag or given loosely, or wrap the utensils in the dish towel tied with a string - however you'd like.
Bring your items to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds:
Saturday, Dec. 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Parking lot south of Como Avenue (across from the Warner Coliseum)
When you stop by, you'll receive instructions on how to obtain a receipt form for your donation and a link to prized State Fair recipes.
Please note: While Bridging accepts a variety of furniture and household goods at its warehouse locations, the State Fair donation drop-off is only accepting Kitchen Pack items.
