, Elected Officials, community leaders, allies, and friends in a Press Conference to ask for Posada on behalf Amanda and the many who are not home for Christmas.
Amanda Morales-Guerra
has been in Sanctuary for 4 months defying a federal deportation order and took refuge in an uptown church. Holyrood Episcopal Church has provided sanctuary to her and her family ever since, with her unable to leave for fear of ICE officers.
This act of courage and rebellion by Amanda has sparked an outpouring of support in the Northern Manhattan community, who will gather with the New Sanctuary Coalition and members of the Holyrood Episcopal Church to take on the streets after the press conference to demand the justice denied for Amanda, her children, and for many of our DREAMERS, refugees, Immigrants, and minorities who thirst to live in dignity.

en Washington Heights, el Concejal Ydanis Rodríguez estara en una rueda de prensa con La Coalicion Nuevo Santuario, Padre. Luis Barrios, Padre. Juan Carlos Ruiz y Lideres Comunitarios, aliados, y amig@s para tener una posada demandando la justicia negada a Amanda y a todas las personas que no pueden estar en casa con sus familias en Navidad por culpa de esta injusticia.
Amanda Morales-Guerra desafió una orden de deportación federal refugiándose
la Iglesia Santa Cruz (Holyrood), la cual le ha proporcionado santuario a Amanda y a su familia por 4 meses. Hasta este día ella no puede salir por temor a los oficiales de inmigración.
Este acto de valentía y rebelión por Amanda, ha generado una gran cantidad de apoyo en la comunidad del Norte de Manhattan, que se reunirá con la Coalición Nuevo Santuario "New Sanctuary Coalition" y los miembros de la Iglesia Santa Cruz en una rueda de prensa para despues salir a las calles a educar y demandar la justicia negada a Amanda, su hijas e hijo, y por todos esos Soñadores "DREAMERS", refugiados, Inmigrantes, y por todas las comunidades que sueñan en vivir con dignidad.
