Greetings!

When I reflect upon the original 1969 Bed In by John Lennon and Yoko Ono the words change, impact, and difference come to mind. In 2021 Monte’s Bed In for Cancer Connection resonates with the same spirit. He is making change: Monte is ensuring that every person who depends on Cancer Connection receives free telehealth and befriending.

Monte invites you to impact your community members’ lives; your gift will provide free programs and support groups to families, individuals, and caregivers facing cancer. Together you and I will make a difference in the life of someone we do not know; you will give them hope and strength.

Change, impact, and difference: Monte’s 2021 Bed In for Cancer Connection.

Change, impact, and difference: what you will do for others with your gift, volunteering, and participation.

I invite you to donate to Monte’s Bed In for Cancer Connection through Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

With gratitude!

Your generosity will change, impact, and make a difference in the lives of those with cancer!

Mary B. told Monte that Cancer Connection "felt like that was a club I didn't want to be in, but I had heard very good things about it. Finally, after this diagnosis I went over and I am so grateful that I did...It's particularly helpful...to have a different place to go that isn't relying on your friends and family but a wider network of people who are also going through similar things. It has been a blessing for me."
Join Monte’s Bed In for Cancer Connection
Listen on 93.9 FM and watch the Bed In. It is being broadcast live today and tomorrow, March 4, from Monte’s bed and streamed online on WRSI's livestream. You can watch videos for previous hours too.

Enjoy musical guests like Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Rachael Price from Lake Street Dive, Paul from Peter, Paul and Mary, Merrill Garbus from Tune Yards and more as they join Monte in his bed.

Follow the campers who are taking to their beds as Monte is doing. Some are even braving the windy and cold March weather by camping outside. They request your financial gift to support people with cancer. Some are even camping outside, often in memory of their loved ones who bravely fought cancer.
2021 Campers Joining Monte

Help School-age Camper Kiely help others. Kiely is a seasoned camper having camped outside with Monte at the Courthouse. Kiely is "excited to sleep outside again, this time in the field behind our house,” says dad John Kinchla. He says his young daughter Kiely is “Eager to ‘camp with the coyotes!’ Kiely enjoys camping for this good cause. She continues to commemorate her grandmother who died from cancer shortly before she was born. Plus, she sleeps well every time, so why not camp out?” Kiely's goal for her second camp out is to raise $1,000 by Wednesday.

Support the Amherst College Women's Ice Hockey Team, dedicated Cancer Connection supporters who have funded Cancer Connection’s free non-medical support services through their annual Pink in the Rink game. This year they join Monte for the first time.

On their Facebook page, Senior Kaitlin Hoang, #9, says, “Pink in the Rink is an event that really hits home for my family. While we aren’t able to be there in-person this year, I am so glad that we are still able to remotely support Cancer Connection and all the life-changing work that they do. A little bit can really go a long way, so please donate if you can!" The team's goal is to raise $3,000 by March 9th.
