"        Lindsay is a versatile and talented bassist who obtained her Music Performance Diploma (Honours) in 2009 from Grant MacEwan University. She is currently studying jazz bass with Steve Kirby at the University of Manitoba.
Born and raised in Edmonton AB, Lindsay began double bass upon entering high school, where she directed a jazz combo which was given the opportunity to host a jam session during the Yardbird Suite's 50th anniversary celebrations. Upon completing high school, Lindsay was awarded the EPSB District Music Award for being the top graduating music student in the district.
Before departing for Winnipeg, Lindsay was deeply involved in Edmonton's music community, lending her support to diverse styles such as jazz, folk, pop, classical, and new music. Over the past few years she has been an in-demand sideman with many musicians and ensembles, including Carrie Day, Beth Portman, Dave Babcock, Erin Craig, James Clarke, Bryan Sim, Vinok Worldance, Brian Webb Dance Company, St. Crispin's Chamber Ensemble, and MacEwan Theatre. She has also worked as a sideman with many of Edmonton's top jazz players, such as Bob Tildesley, Bobby Cairns and Tommy Banks. Last year, she booked and hosted the weekly Tuesday Sessions at the Yardbird Suite, Edmonton's premier jazz venue.

Lindsay will be in Winnipeg for the next three years as she completes her Bachelor of Jazz Studies at the University of Manitoba. She is currently performing with the U of M Jazz Orchestra, Quincy Davis and Promise (featuring the top students in the U of M Jazz Studies program). This past June, she also had the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music, where she studied with Esperanza Spalding, Vijay Iyer, and Linda Oh.
