Interest in the Repair Cafe movement continues to grow, but we need your help to keep up with it. We are currently working hard on fundraising to keep on our part-time Repair Cafe Hudson Valley coordinator who helps support all these cafes and the many new ones that will come after our TODAY Show appearance. She runs our website, coordinates our calendar, helps with PR (including coordinating the huge effort that is a Today Show Repair Cafe), runs our social media and answers all the public's questions about what can get fixed where and when AND she helps out as a jewelry repair coach almost every weekend all over the region. Everyone else involved in the movement is a volunteer, and the coordinator helps lighten their loads so they can keep helping you get your beloved but broken items fixed--for FREE. April is Earth Month and our cafe organizers and repair coaches were up to the challenge. We've already had a very busy schedule for the first half of April including a new cafe in Tarrytown, NY and the long awaited return of the Poughkeepsie Cafe with an entirely new organizing team. We're also pleased to announce new cafes are opening this month in Wynantskill, Colonie and Amenia. Below are the remaining cafes for April including six cafes on Earth Day which is this Saturday, April 22nd.
