GREETINGS!
FROM THE DIRECTORS...
Greetings!
Our hearts are joyful to be thanking the more than 200 donors who made our programs possible in 2020 and you who made our January 2021 Kickoff Campaign a success, raising $14,560 for Chabad of Rockville 2021 programs! It’s only through our partnership with you—and your thoughtful generosity—that we can continue our important work.
What to look out for in 2021? Of course, providing for those negatively impacted by the pandemic with programs like Bags of Hope that provides weekly food packages, remain the focus of our efforts. We’ll also begin adding programs for young Jewish students at Montgomery Community College, now due to COVID isolated at home with no social network. Likewise, will be activities for young Jewish professionals here in the suburbs, who have found COVID restrictions on gatherings make it increasingly hard to be introduced to others like themselves locally. Our goal in 2021 is to take care that each and every community member gets through these difficult times with the love and support they need.
But wait, there’s more! We’ll be keeping up all our regular Chabad of Rockville programs bringing to Rockville the light, learning, love and laughter of Jewish life. Already over the past month, 100 plus young moms and little preschoolers got together to learn about and prepare for Purim with our Mommy & Me - Virtual Hamantasch Bake… more than 50 community members engaged in meaningful one-on-one Jewish study sessions…and countless socially distanced prayers with Tefillin were said in offices and home, including speaking about the Halachic response to Pandemics and Vaccines with the Sobeloff Jewish Law Society… as well as rigorous planning to make sure Purim and Passover of 2021 have the same fun and meaning as every year.
If you weren’t able to participate in the 2021 Kickoff Campaign but you’d like to support these efforts and together make a real difference, please use this link www.chabadrockville.org/donate
Happy early Purim to you and yours, may this year's celebration be truly a happy and healthy one!

As leadership in this country is on all our minds right now, and with Purim just around the corner, it couldn't be a better time look back at Queen Esther leadership during the Purim saga. Truly a great leader and example for for all of us.
See how my colleague Rabbi Yehuda Ceitlinoffers 9 fascinating life lessons we can learn from Queen Esther.
