Lisa Anderson

Status: Active Board of Directors member of the APICS Inland Empire chapter

I've held several different roles in operations and supply chain. After some time, I decided to start my consulting business, and I've enjoy working with clients ranging from small businesses to private equity and large, complex organizations across several industries including aerospace and defense, food and beverage, building and construction products, and healthcare/life science products.

Advice: Present your ideas, answer questions effectively and implement plans. Seek out mentors, ask questions and never stop learning!

ALUMNI HIGHLIGHT
R.J. De Los Santos

Status: Alumni, Class of 2010

Current Position: I currently work at Kroger, recently promoted to the role of Continuous Improvement Manager for west coast manufacturing plants. In my role, I support the Continuous Improvement Leaders of the plants as a corporate dotted-line, act as mentor for the company's Lean Six Sigma program and support the company's overall journey in Continuous Improvement and High-Performance Work Systems.

Advice: Understand your value and be able to grow and apply more! Involvement in clubs helped me learn many things and grow my interests. "Progress cannot be generated when we are satisfied with existing situations"– Taiichi Ohno.
FACULTY HIGHLIGHTS
MEET THE FACULTY: DR. ZINING YANG

Dr. Zining Yang is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Technology and Operations Management at Cal Poly Pomona. She also works as Senior Manager at Southern California Edison, and Clinical Professor at Claremont Graduate University. She sits on the Board of Computational Social Science Society of the Americas (CSSSA), and serves as Scientific Advisory Board Member for Human Factors and Simulations.
MEET THE FACULTY: DR. SHUO ZENG

Dr. Zeng joined Technology and Operations Management Department at Cal Poly Pomona in 2015. He received a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Eller College of Management, University of Arizona in 2015. He also received a Master of Engineering in Computer Science in 2007 and a Bachelor of Engineering in Automation in 2004 from Tsinghua University, China.
RESEARCH PUBLICATION
DR. KWON GI MUN
My principal areas of research lie in Supply Chain Management / Analytics and Operations Research with applications in the energy sectors and the sustainable development of natural resources. 

My current work focuses on designing and managing energy supply chains in less developed or developing countries. I apply supply chain management concepts and optimization techniques to the energy sector and present a new class of mathematical models for designing energy supply chains for various resources, such as coal, hydro and renewables.
STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS
Jesus Duran

Status: Senior 
Major: Technology & Operations Management: Supply Chain Management
Full-time Position: I will be joining Lockheed Martin Space in Denver as a Subcontract Administrator.
Interests: My interests are National Defense and Aerospace.
Advice: Step out of your comfort zone, try something new, and be a resource to your peers.
Hiral Ashani

Status: Junior
Major: Technology & Operations Management: Operations Management
Internship Position: I started my internship on March 1st as an inventory management intern at Schreiber Foods.
Interests: My current ambition is a role in the enterprise software sales or supply chain consulting fields. 
Advice: Your LinkedIn has to be stellar. If you land an interview for a job or internship, ask good questions. Broaden your horizons! Become a strong story-teller. Just keep swimming (never give up)! 
GLOBAL STUDENT CHALLENGE
We will have two teams preparing for the global qualification round 3 from March to April. The final challenge will be in May. This year it is virtual.
 
In the past, we have been attending it since 2017.
 
2017 – TOM team 4th place globally; 2018- CPP team 4th place globally
