Ydanis Rodriguez, Chair of the Council Committee on Transportation will preside an Oversight Hearing on the MTA's Mitigation Plans for the 2019 L Train Tunnel Shutdown.
This important hearing is to give an opportunity to the
MTA and NYC DOT to share their plans on how to replace the L train service since the project was announced in 2016. The shutdown will affect 400,000 daily riders in Brooklyn and Manhattan during the 15-month process starting in 2019.
In this hearing Chair Ydanis Rodriguez would like to hear how the MTA and NYC DOT will create a plan to use environmental-friendly transportation alternatives.
The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) confirmed to attend this hearing, and we hope for the MTA to join us tomorrow as well.

el Concejal Ydanis Rodríguez, Presidente del Comité de Transporte presidirá la audiencia para examinar los planes para reemplazar el servicio del tren L, el cual cerrara temporalmente en el 2019.
Durante la audiencia se le dará la oportunidad a la MTA y el Departamento de Transporte de la Ciudad de Nueva York (NYC DOT) de compartir sus planes sobre cómo reemplazar el servicio del tren L ya que desde que el proyecto se anunció en el 2016. Este servicio del cierre del tren L durante esos 15 meses, afectara a 400,000 pasajeros diariamente en Brooklyn y Manhattan.
En esta audiencia, el Concejal Ydanis Rodríguez solicitará a la MTA y al NYC DOT crear un plan que promueva el uso de alternativas de transporte que protejan al medio ambiente.
El Departamento de Transporte de la Ciudad de Nueva York (DOT) confirmo su presencia y esperamos que la MTA también se una a nosotros mañana en esta importante audiencia.
