Join us for an Earth Day celebration TOMORROW, April 21 from 2PM to 5PM at the Providence Community Center! This event is free and open to the public.

Our Park Authority staff will lead a nature walk and cleanup along East Blake Lane Park from 2PM to 3PM. You can see the route on the map below.

We will also have a propagation & pot decorating station by Merrifield Garden Center, tree planting led by our former tree commissioner Laura Beaty, Green Spring master gardeners to teach us about composting, a drop-off box for battery recycling, and lots of information and resources from the Citizens Climate Lobby, Plant NOVA Trees, and more. Come spend the day honoring and learning about Earth and the many ways we can support and protect our environment!

This event will also kick off our diaper drive. Please bring opened or unopened packages of diapers of any size to donate. All collected items will be donated to Fairfax Diapers.
