with Mouminatou Camara!

KowTeff African Dance Company will be hosting our first African dance class of the 2017 Spring season tonight in Brooklyn! We are excited to feature Mouminatou Camara as our Master dance instructor! 

Mouminatou is regarded as one of the top female Guinea dance instructors in the United States and known for her high energy and electric style. She brings knowledge of the history of each dance and teaches with great passion. Don't miss Mouminatou in her first KowTeff dance class!

Directions
Subway:
Take the J train to the Kosciuszko Street Stop. Exit at the east end of the station (the front if you're coming from Manhattan, the rear if you're heading to Manhattan). Walk 3 blocks south on Patchen Avenue and turn left on to Lexington Avenue.
Bus:
The following buses serve DSPAC: the B46 or the B52 to Gates Avenue & Malcolm X Blvd. Walk North to Lexington Avenue and turn right on Lexington and walk one and a half blocks: the B15 in either direction to Lexington Avenue, then walk East towards Broadway, and the B38 to Malcolm X Blvd then walk South to Lexington Avenue and Make a Left on Lexington and walk one and a half blocks.

          About Mouminatou Camara

Mouminatou Camara  founded Seewe African Dance Company in September 2005. For a decade, she was the principal dancer for the world-renowned dance company, Les Ballet Africans. She also performed with Les Ballet Djonllba and the Army Ballet. An instructor and performer of West African Dance and Drum, Mouminatou  has performed and taught workshops extensively in the USA, Jamaica, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Martinique and the West African countries of Senegal, Mali and the Ivory Coast. Having spent her life in Guinea, Mouminatou has stated that she has been dancing since she was in her mother's womb. Affectionately called "Moumi", she brings firsthand knowledge of the history of each dance and imparts that knowledge with great clarity and passion to her students.
