tourism matters
WHY IS TOURISM IMPORTANT ?
Tourism is the 3rd largest retail sales industry in Minnesota amounting to a $15.3 billion industry. It accounts for $996 million in state sales tax and employs 270,000 people in Minnesota with good jobs!

Minnesota's DAILY visitor spending at leisure and hospitality businesses amounts to over $42 million. These dollars spent by visitors in our state are directly circulated back into our economy and lower our tax burden by approximately $625 per average Minnesota household.

Thanks to our local businesses, sports, tournaments, social groups, weddings and every type of event that has kept tourism local by using Lakeville hotels and hospitality businesses. 79% of spending by a visitor t is in the community where the hotel is located. Every time you use a Lakeville hospitality business, you are keeping our economy strong within our community! Thank You!!
