In Brief

Welcome to the latest edition of the Monday Morning Messenger.

In our first story, the Texas Comptroller warns of another attempt by cybercriminals on Texans and taxpayers. This time, this counterfeit Comptroller email plants destructive malware on unsuspecting email openers' computers.

In the second story, Clean Cities Coalitions of Texas will host a "New Year New Grants" webinar on February 13th, covering anticipated 2024 TERP grants and insights from successful grant applicants.

Also, we remind parents in the propane industry who are NPGA members to apply for NPGA scholarships by February 15th, offering $1,000 or $2,000 for their child's education.

Lastly, TPGA invites members to the March 4-5, 2024, Board & Committee Meetings, featuring a Texas Independence Day celebration.

Explore our Quick Links section, offering access to the latest Winter Weekly Update, Propane Service Corporation (PSC), EPA Clean School Bus Grants, and quick access to the 2023 propane appliance rebates expiring this week.

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts is warning citizens and taxpayers again on a SEPARATE MATTER that criminals are sending emails impersonating the agency’s Open Records Division, claiming citizens have committed a code violation. DO NOT CLICK any links in these communications.

To cause you to react and click on the link, these fraudulent emails use the subject line: Code Violation Notice ref::#3364541.PDF. If you click the link, destructive malware is installed onto your computer or electronic device. The malware then steals your sensitive data.
