Additionally, February 7, 2022, marked the start of the new Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirement. In our second story of the morning, TPGA provides a referral code that members can use at checkout if they sign up for the NPGA ACE ELDT compliance program. Texas Tier II Reports Due Soon |
|
Texas Tier II reports are required to be filed annually by March 1st to TCEQ for locations storing chemicals and hazardous materials, including those storing 2,380 gallons (10,000 lbs.) or more of propane. There is a filing exemption for agricultural operations.

On February 7, 2022, the National Propane Gas Association launched the Administrative Compliance Experts (ACE) service to help the propane industry comply with the new Entry Level Driver Training Requirements.

As Congress keeps working on the Build Back Better Act, the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) continues to advocate for the inclusion of policies that benefit the propane industry – like a long-term extension of the expired Alternative Fuel Tax Credit (AFTC). NPGA has partnered with a like-minded coalition to draft a letter of support for the AFTC, and NPGA invites you and your business to sign. By adding your name, you’re telling Congress how critical this credit is to your business, your customers, and the propane industry. |

NPGA Scholarship Deadline Is Tomorrow, February 15, 2022 |
|
The National Propane Gas Foundation Scholarship Fund (NPGF/SF) 2022 – 2023 scholarship application deadline is Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Children of employees of NPGA member companies, state propane associations, or PERC are eligible to apply. Applicants may be pursuing any course of study at two- and four-year colleges or technical, trade, or vocational schools. Students pursuing propane-related careers are especially encouraged to apply.
Every year, the NPGF/SF awards $1,000 and $2,000 scholarships to 100+ students. Since 1994, the NPGF Scholarship Fund has awarded more than two million dollars to 1400+ children of NPGA member company employees!

TPGA worked with NPGA to get the Texas propane industry hours relief. As a result, FMCSA extended its emergency declaration for propane transportation for 42 states including TEXAS until March 8, 2022. |
