Reminder! FMCSA Regional Declaration Issued Expires on January 31, 2025 | |

Just a reminder, the FMCSA Emergency Declaration waives hours of service requirements for the transportation of propane, among other commodities, to customers impacted by the severe weather in the states below, including Texas. The declaration is in effect from January 10, 2025, until January 31, 2025.

U.S. DOT PHMSA Unsafe Cylinder Advisory | |

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) warns of unauthorized cylinders being sold online. These cylinders may lack required DOT or UN markings and do not comply with hazardous materials regulations (HMR; 49 CFR parts 171-180). Filling, requalifying, or transporting these cylinders can put you at risk.
What to Know:
- Only use cylinders marked with a DOT or UN certification.
- Avoid purchasing, filling, requalifying, or transporting cylinders without proper markings.
- Improper cylinders pose serious safety risks.

TPGA Member Devastated by House Fire

Justin Bierstedt, owner of Martindale Guadalupe Gas, his wife Jamie Teague Bierstedt, and their five children lost their house and all their belongings to a fire. By the grace of God, everyone made it out safely.
