In brief

September 3, 2024

Welcome to the latest edition of the Tuesday Telegraph.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.

In our first morning story, TPGA follows up on our story from last week about the Alternative Fuels Safety (AFS) Department of the Railroad Commission and provides a more detailed AFS Directory.

In our second story, TPGA highlights the upcoming TPGA Board and Annual Business Meeting in October. Time is running out to reserve your hotel rooms! Learn more about what’s on tap for the meetings and how to secure your room before the Friday deadline.

Speaking of the board meeting, it's that time of year, every two years, when we renew our committees. Please complete the committee volunteer form if you would like to serve or continue serving on a committee.

Additionally, check out the highly anticipated Convention Recap issue of Texas Propane magazine, which features lots of pictures.

Lastly, the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) has six new learning paths in its online Learning Center, which offers on-demand training. Find out what they are in our last story of the morning.

Serve on a 2024-2025 TPGA Committee: Join a Committee or Confirm Your Continuation

Hello Everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended this month’s convention. Your participation was crucial to its success, and we couldn’t have achieved it without your support. As I mentioned at the dinner, I deeply appreciate the efforts of all involved and look forward to seeing even more of you engage in the future. As your new president, I’m grateful for your continued support.

Looking ahead, we will soon be distributing committee sign-up sheets. These committees are the backbone of our association, guiding our decisions and shaping our direction.

Please take a moment to review the available committees below and consider where your skills and interests might fit best. You can remain on a current committee, join a new one, or adjust your involvement as needed.

Meeting & Convention Planning Committee

The committee advises on TPGA meetings and our annual conference and expo. It consists of 13 members: 8 from the marketer membership, 4 from the supplier membership, and the chair. The committee chair randomly selects each member from the appropriate volunteer submissions.

Legislative Affairs Committee

The committee comprises TPGA members interested in considering and recommending policy on legislation affecting the Texas propane industry.

Technical & Standards Committee

The committee comprises TPGA members interested in reviewing and advancing rules, regulations, standards & codes that positively affect the propane industry.

Membership Committee

The committee is made up of TPGA members and seeks to advise the association on membership promotion and retention, affinity partnership development and deployment, non-dues revenue generation, and services and support for the general membership.

Here is a linked button to sign up to volunteer for any available committees

JOIN OR REJOIN A COMMITTEE

Starting the new year strong depends on your participation, and your involvement is essential to our success.

Thank you once again for your support.

Best regards,

Larry Baty

TPGA President
