Big Changes for TPPA in 2020
TPPA has long been the envy of other photographic associations with our robust membership and the evolution of our events. We never take our success for granted and we know our success is because of our outstanding TPPA members.

We are committed to our membership by providing innovative programs, first class education and outstanding value.

We are excited to unveil our new commitment to bringing you new and exciting opportunities and to bringing TPPA education and events closer to you.

The TPPA is pleased to announce, "TPPA Events"

TPPA Events is our new, year-round calendar of classes, workshops, road trips and events. TPPA Events will be constantly evolving and rapidly responsive to opportunities to bringing you serious education and key networking events.

Our calendar for 2020 already has some familiar favorites such at Texas School and the I Heart Photography Conference and Expo.  You will also find some familiar Texas 10 style classes (now TPPA Event Classes) presented by our very own TPPA Members, only now they will be held throughout the year.

Notable changes for 2020 include:
  • The TPPA Annual Photographic Competition is now its own event.  In 2020, it will be held March 28 in San Antonio.
  • Those attending the competition will be able to take in our first Studio Crawl of some of the leading studios in San Antonio.
  • TPPA Leadership Training will take your skills to the next level for your association and will be offered following image competition.
  • The TPPA Annual Image Competition Awards Presentation will take place on Sunday, April 26 at Noon at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel - Home of The Texas School of Professional Photography. There is no charge to attend the presentation and all are invited!
  • Our brand new, TPPA Road Trip will take place in June 2020 and will take you to Northern New Mexico for three days of exciting photography and family fun on foot, by car and by train.
  • We are introducing our new TPPA Webinar Series with a FREE webinar from Ashley Diamond Siegert to be held on January 14, 2020.
  • Join us in September for a new TPPA Excursion to Caddo Lake.
  • In December of 2020, join us for Walks Across Texas where you will meet locally with a TPPA Member Host for an evening of photographing Holiday Lighting and hot chocolate.
  • AND SO MUCH MORE!
New events are being added frequently so be sure you bookmark the TPPA Events Page to stay on top of all that we have planned.

Want to be a TPPA Member Host
TPPA is looking for volunteers to serve as Event Hosts for our new Member 2 Member events in 2020.

So just what does and Event Host do? You simply facilitate a local event or gather of photographers by doing such things as visiting a local art exhibit, hosting a coffee talk, photo walks or other unique gathering opportunities.

We will offer suggestions and would love to hear yours. We are thinking that we would be asking you to host no more than 2-3 events during the year.

This is a great way to get involved in TPPA and to bring members together.
