TPSS Advanced College & Career Magnet Center is Open!

TPSS was able to cut the ribbon on a long awaited dream for the children of our district and the future of our community. The TPSS Advanced College and Career Magnet Center opened its doors this fall to our junior and senior students who are looking to pursue classes which specifically target their career interests. With classes focusing on the medical field, communications, forensics, education and more, students are able to earn college credit and program credentials for free, which they can then take with them upon high school graduation.

Get in the Game!

Our schools are transitioning into Online Ticket Sales for our sporting events. Please follow the Facebook pages of your child's school for ticket information. The public will be able to purchase General Admission tickets through the link provided by the school.

We utilize SchoolCash Online as our online payment system for school fees. If you haven't done so already, please set up a guardian account and connect your children to the account. Our students are offered $5 ticket prices through the platform.

Shop Local for the Big Game

Show your school spirit by choosing to shop local this gaming season. From restaurants, to rentals, gear for the games, and the perfect look for homecoming, purchases made at our tangi businesses directly impact the funding for our schools in a postive way. Now, that's something to cheer about!

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE COUNTS!

September is Attendance Awareness Month

Addressing chronic absence is a key component of improving graduation rates, increasing academic achievement & giving young people a good chance for success in their adult life. We can’t afford to think of absenteeism as merely a lack of compliance with school rules. Absenteeism is a lost opportunity to learn.

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING

KINDNESS

Kindness is choosing to do something that helps others or yourself, motivated by genuine warm feelings.

Kindness, or doing good, often means putting other people’s needs before our own. It could be holding the door open for someone, using kind words to compliment a peer, or offering to share a toy with a friend.

Evidence shows that helping others can also benefit our own mental health and wellbeing. For example, it can reduce stress as well as improve mood, self-esteem and happiness.

There are so many ways to help others as part of our everyday lives. Speak with your child on simple ways that they can show kindness to those at school.

An ILA 1st grader noticed a kindergarten student was nervous about going to class, so she kindly grabbed her hand and walked her to her room.
