ELEVATE YOUR IMPACT

Tangipahoa Parish School System currently has 3 surveys available to take as a way to give us your feedback on important topics at hand. Please participate, to help ensure that all voices are heard in our district.

Family-School Relationship Survey

This brief survey is to provide our families with an opportunity to tell us about your experience with Tangipahoa Parish Schools. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback.

The survey will close on March 28th.

Student Dress Code Survey

Your feedback is crucial in helping us create a dress code policy that is fair, inclusive, and appropriate for our school environment. We want to hear from parents, teachers, and students alike to understand your perspectives and experiences regarding the current dress code and any potential changes you would like to see implemented.

The deadline to complete the survey is April 8th.

Community Survey for Strategic Planning

This survey is intended to gather input for our new strategic plan. All responses are completely confidential.

Please complete and submit this survey by March 29th.

STEM EDUCATION

A Note about the Upcoming Solar Eclipse

On Monday, April 8, 2024, our area will experience a partial eclipse of the sun. This event does not occur often; therefore, we have made plans to ensure that our students have the opportunity to experience the eclipse. Safety is the utmost priority during a solar eclipse.  Looking directly at the sun is unsafe and can permanently damage eyesight. Therefore, our students will be allowed to watch the eclipse via livestream in their classrooms.

The time frame for this event in our area is from approximately 12:30 p.m. until 3:09 p.m. Due to safety concerns, all outdoor activities at our school (physical education classes, recess, athletic practices, band practice, etc.) will be limited between the hours of 12:00 noon and 3:15 p.m. Monday.  School will dismiss at the regular dismissal time.

You may choose not to send your child or children to school Monday either because of safety concerns or because you want your child to experience the eclipse with the family at home.  If so, this will be an excused absence.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child's school.
