Bottom Line Up Front

Recent Taliban/(IEA) - hosted mediation talks between Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Pakistani government may have ended with 16 high-ranking TTP members being kidnapped, resulting in the Taliban fearing a highly likely conversion of Taliban elements to Islamic State Khurasan (ISK). It shouldn't be forgotten that Islamic State Khurasan (ISK) was founded by disgruntled TTP and Taliban elements.

According to Islamic State insiders, the Taliban feel that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) will be so fueled by their hatred for the Pakistani government and pledge and join forces with Islamic State Khurasan (ISK), which would be a devastating blow to both Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Affirming the Taliban's fear is an incident that took place on the evening of 19 May 2022, n which one man opened fire at a checkpoint on the Baghlan-Kunduz highway, killing at least eight Taliban insurgents and wounding two others. Unconfirmed reports have indicated that prior to committing the attack, the perpetrator was a Taliban element who allegedly pledged to Islamic State Khurasan (ISK).

Kaduna State, Nigeria

On 25 May 2022, a third proof of life video was released featuring hostages from the 28 March 2022 abduction of passengers on the Abuja – Kaduna train. This video includes a Pakistani National. It still is not readily clear what the Bandits are demanding for the release of these hostages. In the proof of life video from 06 April 2022, they claimed they were not looking for ransoms, yet, we have been made aware that at least one ransom was paid to release the Bank of Agriculture Director and that other families of victims have been contacted for ransom payments. On 12 April 2022, news reports stated that the Kaduna-Abuja train Bandits are demanding the release of 16 Bandit leaders held in prison in exchange for the release of over 100 hostages from the train. However, on 24 May, a Bandit leader, who goes by the name of Abu Barra, issued an ultimatum to the Nigerian government, giving authorities 7 days to release purported Bandit children from an orphanage in Yola or he would start executing hostages and stop feeding them. It is possible that the Bandits have divided up the hostages and are demanding different things from the group that they hold, as each proof of life video that has been released depicts different hostages.

Islamic State East Asia (ISEA) Conducts Complex Assault On Thai Naval Base, Tak Bai, Narathiwat Province, Thailand

ISEA.Thailand.Tak Bai.Navy Camp Attack.jpg

Local Islamic State sources report that in the evening of 25 May 2022, a major attack targeted a Thai navy position in Tak Bai, Narathiwat Province, Thailand, which sits on the border with Malaysia. Significant damage was caused when the militants threw bombs at facility and a shootout ensued. According to initial reports at least three officers lost their lives. Back in Novebmer 2021, rumors began to circulate that Islamic State East Asia was expanding into Thailand, when a large cache of weapons was found in Narathiwat province – a mere 40 km where this most recent current attack took place.

The first appearance of an ISEA cell in Thailand was in an unofficial video “Messages to the Mujahideen of Thailand” on 03 December 2021. It is possible that Islamic State co-opted local groups, meaning this ISEA cell is likely comprised of Patani separatist, or, even more likely, of former Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN) fighters. An 18 May 2022 announcement by the unofficial Islamic State media house “East Asian Knights” announced a merger with the Nibras news agency, which indicates that Thailand has been folded into the overarching umbrella of ISEA. What was interesting about this announcement is that Malaysia was left out of the ISEA umbrella, but Myanmar was included. Malaysia’s exclusion seems odd, due to there less than 20 km between Tak Bai and the Malaysian Border. The question arises: Will the Thai group subsume operations in Malaysia in a larger peninsular wilayah?

Eco-Fascist Circulate Video from Popular Telegram 'Artist':

"Take Me Home" Featuring Arson and Unabomber

The "artist" who previously released the disturbing videos, "Bloodlust" and "Conquered Lands" has distributed a new video. This newest release, set to John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” was set to coincide with the 80th birthday of Theodore John “Ted” Kaczynski /Unabomber, who is an inspiration to the online eco-fascists community.  Materialism, the pressure of working for a paycheck, and technology are seen as crushing the human spirit and only destroying the establishment’s construct (as well as minorities) will resolve the problem. Outraged and revolted with modernity, eco-fascists are not just white nationalists seeking to create their own nation, they are anti-globalist who wish to live as primitivists. Eco-fascists members believe that the current state of affairs worldwide is corrupted by materialism to the core; everything is so broken that it cannot be fixed by any mainstream methods such as protesting, but that a violent revolution is required. Listening to the eco-fascists rhetoric, there is the sense of violent white “manifest destiny.”
