TRAC has recorded 17 IS-M attacks in just the past two weeks in Mozambique, not only emphasizing the vulnerability of Christian communities but also a larger grand strategy to take Pemba. The assailants, who almost certainly belong to the same Katiba or units, have been exploiting the major highways of Cabo Delgado for their attacks, taking advantage of the limited security presence in the area.
Given the relentless attacks on Christian villages lying south of the R760, TRAC is certain that the IS-M militants have their eyes north on Pemba to overwhelm and isolate the city of Pemba. This will likely overwhelm any administrative services of Pemba and completely isolates the city. TRAC speculates that IS-M's ultimate goal is not to merely take the city of Pemba but use the new stronghold as the cornerstone to eventually over-take all of Cabo Delgado.
The havoc reeked by IS-M in Chiure district over recent weeks has resulted in the displacement of more than thirteen thousand people. Over 500 residential buildings, churches, administrative facilities, and other structures have been systematically destroyed since the beginning of the year. Notably, the attacks have spared the Muslim population and instead of harm, the jihadists have provided food, medicine, Islamic sermons, as a recruitment campaign to swell their ranks.
There are several villages which have been targeted twice, reiterating the troubling pattern where IS-M militants circle back to re-assault already vulnerable communities to ensure complete destruction of anyone who dared to return. This not only disrupts any attempts by villagers to rebuild and resume normalcy but also instils a pervasive fear among residents in neighbouring villages, who now face heightened concerns about becoming the next targets in the relentless assaults by IS-M.

TRAC Incident Report:
The InJekt Division Shares Hit List Video ‘Satanic Panic’ Listing Satanist Sympathisers as Targets
| |
|
TRAC has been reporting on so-called ‘hit lists’ published on Telegram since 2021. These calls initially arose amongst eco-fascists within the Terrorgram Collective, but have since spread to less radical elements of the far-right ideological landscape, including The Proud Boys and now the InJekt Division.
What makes this stand out is that the hit list is dedicated to Satanists, specifically mentioning a 764 and other members of various Satanic groups. The video ends with the phrase “Satanism is anti-White. Satanism stands against what we stand for. National Socialism can not be combined with Satanism.” and is a clear warning directed at all Satanists infiltrating InJekt ranks. This is likely to avoid a National Socialist Order (NSO) fiasco, which dissolved and reformed as National Socialist Resistance Front (NSRF) after infiltration from Order of Nine Angles (O9A/ ONA).
At this point, it is important to highlight that this video is likely an indication for escalating tensions between eco-fascists and satanic neo-Nazi groups.
Please note that only recently TRAC connected the leader of the Tennessee Active Club, the leader of the Southern Sons Active Club, and The Terrorgram Collective to 2119 Crew, a nation-wide racist club also known as Blood and Soil Crew. There is also support of the 2119 Crew from Inject Division and Appalachian Archives.
The satanic organization known as ‘764’ represents a radical faction stemming from the Order of the Nine Angles (O9A / ONA). Involved in various activities, the group has established a major presence primarily in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Specializing in extreme forms of exploitation, 764 engages in sextortion and brutal child abuse, perpetuating a dark and sinister agenda. The group is known to after recruiting their victims and demand live streams or uploading of videos of self-harm, harm to animals, sexual exploitation of siblings, acts of random violence, suicide, and murder.

TRAC Incident Report: Socialist Party Without Borders (PSF) and Supporters Carry Out Coup Attempt in N’Djamena, Chad
|
On 28 February 2024, Social Party Without Borders Party and it supporters reportedly carried out an attempted coup on the Chadian government. Initial reports indicated the presence of gunfire and explosions, assassination attempts, and the internet being cut, but the Government forces reported for everything to be under control.
This coup is likely in response to the upcoming elections in the country that are scheduled for 6 May 2024 and runoffs are on 22 June 2024 that promise to return the country to democracy after years of military rule.
The initial reports indicated that the putschists attempted to carry out this coup with two prongs. The first of these was the attempted assassination of the President of the Supreme Court of Chad, Samir Adam Annour. The second was an attack on the Chadian security agency, ANSE. While both of these attempts failed, it has brought considerable confusion in N’Djamena, with internet and communication lines being cut. Leadership of the PSF have claimed that this is fraudulent and they are being framed.
Coups and militants are often used in Africa as a way to undermine democratic systems, allowing strongmen to carry out silent takeovers as their promises of democracy and elections fall in the name of security. While it is equally possible that the opposition party did stage a coup, this consolidation of power is at the very least suspicious in terms of its timing due to the upcoming elections.
It is also of note that the leader accused of the coup is the current president's cousin. This is of intrigue because the current president's Father, the last president, died under suspicious circumstances.

TRAC Incident Report:
TMZ-Bandits Conduct a Large-Scale Raid, Killing Nine Civilians and Kidnapping 53 Others, Makera Village, Talafa-Mafara LGA, Zamfara State, Nigeria
| |
|
On 19 February 2024, around 9pm local time, at least 100 bandits raided Makera village, in Tamara-Mafara LGA, Zamfara State. The assailants broke into the village shooting at the air, causing panic among the villagers. Subsequently, they conducted house-to-house raids, kidnapping 53 civilians. Nine persons attempted to escape from the kidnappers but were shot dead.
Although Zamfara is one of the Nigerian states most affected by banditry, the Talata-Mafara Local Government Area (LGA) has been targeted sporadically by bandits over the past years. Indeed, this is the first banditry-related incident recorded in the area since May 2022.
On 18 February 2024, unknown bandits raided Maradun town in the homonymous LGA. Since Maradun is located less than a kilometre away from Makera, and both areas were not frequently raided by bandits before February 2024, TRAC maintains that both the responsibility for the 18 and 19 February 2024 raids can be ascribed to the same group. To identify and track this group, TRAC has dubbed it as ‘TMZ-Bandits’ (Talafa-Maradun-Zamfara Bandits).
This group is likely to have been recently established, exploiting the absence of other armed groups in the Talata-Mafara and Maradun LGAs. The high degree of violence employed by these bandits, with 17 civilians killed in two days, highlights that the group is currently aiming to terrorize the local communities, to assert their authority in the area. The fact that more than a hundred bandits have been signalled by local sources leads TRAC TO speculate that the TMZ bandits possess the capabilities to expand their range of activities to neighboring LGAs.

(Claim / Anarchist) ‘Armed Response’ Anarchist Group Takes Credit for Sending a Letter Bomb to the Court of Appeal President, Anastasia Anthopoulou, Thessaloniki, Greece
|
On 12 February 2024, an envelope containing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was sent to the President of the Court of Appeal, Anastasia Anthopoulou, in Thessaloniki. Several days later, a Greek anarchist group named “Armed Response” claimed responsibility for sending the said letter bomb. The envelope, which contained 480 grams of a powerful high explosive known as gelatodynamite, was intercepted and defused.
This incident represents a rising threat against the judicial system in Greece. However, this attempted attack was carried out as a sign of protest against capitalism and in support of the vulnerable, including those affected by health and financial issues, as well as the elderly, according to the statement released by the Armed Response group.
Of note, the group vowed to keep targeting the President of the Court of Appeal, Anastasia Anthopoulou, whom they hold the most responsible for the abuse of power by the actors operating in the judicial system. Considering that the authorities will very likely tighten the security measures in the protection of the courthouse, TRAC does not rule out a future attack with firearms on Anthopoulou.
