SACRAMENTO – Work on the U.S. Highway 50 (US 50) Multimodal Corridor Enhancement “Fix50” Project continues with a 55-hour closure at the westbound US 50 to southbound State Route 99 (SR 99) connector scheduled for this weekend.
Caltrans anticipates this to be the last 55-hour closure for this connector, striping and pavement work should be completed. Caltrans also reminds this closure is weather and temperature dependent. Motorists should use caution when travelling during construction times and expect commercial trucks traveling in and out of the work zone.
Caltrans urges motorists to plan ahead and to expect delays with additional travel time for detours. Southbound SR 99 motorists should use southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) as an alternate route.
Schedule: Friday, May 2 at 10 p.m. through Monday, May 5 at 5 a.m.
Suggested Detour:
- Westbound US 50 motorists to southbound SR 99 should continue on westbound US 50 and stay in the right lane to southbound I-5 Los Angeles.
