Archery, BBs, Wrist rockets, Crafts, Maps, Games (even Polo) and so much more! Our Cubs are having a blast with their "Passport to Adventure" during our Day Camps running this month.
We know our Packs, Troops, Crews, and Ships are where the adventures of Scouting really happen. What amazing Scouting activities has your unit participated in this Summer? Let us know and share the pictures. We want to share all the good news of Scouting!

Scout Executive's Minute
As we roll through the summer camp season into recruitment season, I have some thoughts….
By Scout Executive Scott Impecoven
Many of those thoughts come from Baden Powell quotes. One of the things that Baden Powell preached was outdoor adventure. Outdoor adventure is the promise made to a youth when they join Scouting... luckily summer camp is full of adventure! No matter what time of year a family joins Scouting, please don't delay getting Scouts to experience the adventures of Scouting. National BSA surveys show that you have a 300% better chance of retaining a Scout in the program if they attend summer camp during their first year.

July Eagle Scout

Congratulations to this Scout who has achieved the highest rank in the Scouts BSA program this month!
OTC on the Road and in the Public
Council VP of Membership, Donnita Bassinger, has been hard at work lining up opportunities for us to share Scouting's story with the public. OTC was represented at the local Eugene Car Show and had a booth at the Lane County Fair. We will also be at the Community Festival in Reedsport on Aug. 3.

Is there an event in your area that would be a good place to share Scouting with the greater community? Let us know at [email protected].
