Dear TRASA Members:
What a crazy year! It started off great with our March Expo at Printscape Arena. It was a well attended show with education provided by PPAI's Kim Todora and ended up being the last show for our exhibitors before the pandemic hit full force. Since then, we quickly pivoted toward a virtual experience and ended up providing more for our members than in a regular year.
We had 28 Toolbox Talks featuring many of our supplier members and some special guests such as Bryony Zasman from Zoom Catalog and Social Media Guru Dana Zezzo to name a few. We had a few Tailgate Happy Hours and were lucky to have our first outdoor show at Crazy Horse Coffee in September. We also produced several newsletters and created a new website powered by Wild Apricot. If you haven't checked it out, please do. www.trasa.net.
The last event of the year was the How the Grinch Stole 2020 on December 21. It was a lot of fun with a surprise visit from two Santas. (see party details below)
I would like to thank everyone who participated in our virtual experiences throughout the year as we tried to provide our members with value, connections and inspiration during a most challenging 9 months.
I would also like to thank the TRASA board for their increased efforts this year as we entered uncharted paths into a more virtual world than ever. I would also like to give a BIG shout out to Patti Ward our executive director for all of her efforts to keep us all connected.
I look forward to working with our incoming President Tim Wingert and the TRASA board in 2021 in my role as past president.
Wishing you all the best in 2021,
Jake Huffmyer, TRASA President
