Congratulations to our new Refuge Manager Brian Collins!

 

You probably already know Brian Collins as the S.D. Refuge Complex's Wildlife Biologist, a position he held for 15 years! Before that he worked here as a Bio Tech for 2 years.  Please welcome him into his new position of managing Tijuana Slough and San Diego Bay NWRs.

Saturday, July 9th, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

at Border Field State Park (1500 Monument Rd, San Diego)

 

Families, individuals, scout groups, local clubs and organizations are welcome to participate. All volunteers under 18 must bring parent-signed permission forms, available by request (email volunteer@trnerr.org). Volunteers under the age of 16 must attend with an adult.

Did you know that Green Sea Turtles (Chelonia mydas) live in San Diego Bay?

Scientists at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center have researched the population that lives in South San Diego Bay for over 15 years.  Information about the population, their biology, habitat use, local movements, and long-distance migrations has been collected.  Join us to hear what scientists have discovered about this fascinating animal.
