Trump’s platform – if you take away all the stuff about hating literally everyone in the country who is not him – comes down to tax cuts. Let’s talk about taxes that are not finiancial.

How about the tax on every third thought we have, that now has to be about Trump, if he’s president?

How about the happiness tax? What kind of cut in your daily happiness are you willing to take?

How about the laughter tax, where it’s tougher to laugh at things, because any joke rocket now has to be powerful enough to escape the gravitational pull of the daily ambient tragedy in the country.

THOSE are real taxes. I can’t afford those taxes. None of us can.

So let’s act now to beat Trump – by doing the most effective thing you can – registering more new Democrats!

On Tuesday, Voter Drive Leader extraordinaire Fiona Carroll (right), Field Team 6 evangelist Suzi Dietz (left), and super volunteers Cheryl Bridges and Annie Cwieka staked out Saddleback College in Orange County, CA, to register new Democratic voters for CA-49’s Mike Levin (D) as well as Democratic candidates for swing district CA-47 and more. Kids got registered! Registered voters got educated! And a great time was had by all! JOIN US at an existing voter drive, or train up and lead your own – they’re not only profoundly satisfying – they’re one of the best ways to win in November!

The special election is February 13, and with a registration deadline of February 3, we need to HUSTLE to make sure we register enough left-leaning voters to put Suozzi over the top!

BVG FUNDRAISER RECAP

On January 20, 2024, friends of Blue Voter Guide gathered in the living room of Will Baum and Cody Tucker for a fundraiser for the ages: Ride with the Guide. Despite the rainy Saturday, the atmosphere was electric as an array of inspiring speakers shared messages about protecting, saving, and defending our democracy. These included: Assembly member turned Congressional candidate Laura Friedman; the remarkable Sarah Jakle (DemocraShe); the irreplaceable Jess Craven (Chop Wood, Carry Water); the charismatic Sylvia Salazar of Tono Latino, who had traveled down from Portland for the day; Field Team 6's own founder Jason Berlin; and featured speaker Wayne Liebman, founder of the Blue Voter Guide, who showed us how the unique guide would drive up turnout in 2024 by putting voters first, enabling fast, smart, pro-democracy choices up and down ballot, enabling us to elections win at all levels. The guide got a much-needed fundraising boost! And the conversation continued until long after dark, a testament to the shared values that make us a cross between a (peaceful) army... and a family.
