|
We're excited to announce that
Austin Community Foundation
has made a $250,000 investment in TSAHC's
Texas Housing Impact Fund
that will be used towards construction financing of the Accessible Housing Austin! (AHA!) at Briarcliff apartment complex in northeast Austin.
Thanks to this investment, TSAHC is able to increase its financial commitment to the AHA! at Briarcliff development from $695,000 to $995,000, with a reduced interest rate of 2.5 percent during the two-year construction period. The project will provide 27 units (half accessible and half adaptable for persons with disabilities) to households with incomes 50 percent or below of the median family income.

RENTCafé, a national apartment listing service, argues that this measurement only tells part of the story and isn’t particularly effective when determining the overall affordability of a given community.
