Register for Rural Rental Housing Preservation Academy
Session 2
TSAHC, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas , Enterprise Community Partners , the Rural Rental Housing Association of Texas and Motivation, Education, & Training, Inc. are pleased to present the Rural Rental Housing Preservation Academy . The Academy is a series of no-cost training and peer learning sessions designed to help rural housing providers and nonprofits acquire and/or preserve USDA rental housing in their respective communities.

The Academy kicked-off with Session 1 earlier this month. Click here for a recap of that session. Session 2 entitled, "Overview of USDA Rural Development Transfer Process" will be held February 28 - March 1 in Temple, Texas. TSAHC's DRAFT 2018 Annual Action Plan
Public Comment Period Extended
As noted in our December Newsletter, TSAHC's DRAFT 2018 Annual Action Plan is available for public comment. The public comment period is being extended because the public hearing for the plan (originally scheduled on January 16th) was postponed due to inclement weather.

The public hearing will now be Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Health & Human Services Commission - CO2 (Main Bldg.), PHR 164 (909 W. 45th Street, Austin, Texas).   

Additionally, the public comment period has been extended to January 31, 2018 . Written comment may be sent to Michael Wilt, 2200 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Austin, Texas 78702 or by email to [email protected] .

Staff Spotlight: An Interview with Janie Taylor
This week we are spotlighting Executive Vice President Janie Taylor. Janie joined the staff of TSAHC in August 2006 as the Manager of Marketing and Development. Over the years, her role at TSAHC has included marketing and fundraising for TSAHC's programs, as well as government relations. This past September, she was promoted to the position of Executive Vice President.
