INSPIRATION MATTERS
with Kathy Nimmer
I was scrolling through Twitter one evening when I saw this tweet from an account set up to be written as if by a dog: “I may have gotten bigger, but my desire to be held has remained constant.” I paused. The children in our schools, especially the little ones, have very little difficulty showing their affection through hugs, smiles, and kind gestures. In turn, they receive these gestures without hesitation. We lose some of that expressiveness and that openness as we age. However, we don’t lose the need to be comforted, appreciated, or reassured. Consider making a commitment today to give someone that warmth they need. It might be just the thing that makes all the difference.
