Earlier this month, the Technology Department initiated one of its quarterly phishing campaigns wherein simulated phishing emails are sent to all staff. Over the course of the campaign, 137 staff members clicked one of the links in the message they received.
Before clicking links within email messages, please consider the following:
- Have you signed up for email marketing/correspondence from this company using your TSC email address (i.e. Starbucks, Amazon)?
- Hover your mouse cursor over the link and look at the URL its pointing to at the bottom of your screen. If the link doesn't have the domain of the company/sender, it's likely fraudulent.
- If something appears too good to be true, it probably is!
Have a safe holiday season!
