TSC State of Mind
with Megan Ulrich
This past month, almost 300 TSC certified staff completed Chapter 4 of the Conscious Discipline book study which focused on adult composure. Our SEL framework at TSC adheres to the concept that “A dysregulated adult cannot regulate a dysregulated child” (Dr. Bruce Perry). The first step to making sure we as adults are regulated and able to respond to the needs of our students is to check in with ourselves.
TSC State of Mind
Here are two resources to explore from The Center on Great Teachers and Leaders: Stress Spectrum and Self-Assessment and Planning Tool. If you need further assistance, please visit our Student Services Mental Health website and Neuroscience website.

TECHNOLOGY MATTERS
Fall break password reset
Your first line of defense when using technology is maintaining strong, secure passwords to protect your computer, your data, your students' data, and other systems throughout the TSC.

All TSC employees will be required to reset their TS Network/Google password when they return from fall break on Tuesday, October 20. Passwords can only be reset when connected to the TSC Network. If you won't be on campus on the 22nd, please navigate to https://tscvdi.tsc.k12.in.us/, select HTML access, then follow the prompts to reset your password.

New passwords must meet certain complexity requirements and must be unique from previously used passwordsHere are a few tips for creating strong passwords. Please do not make note of your password in a location that's accessible by others.

More information about this requirement can be found in this document.

INSPIRATION MATTERS
with Kathy Nimmer

We are better as individuals when we adopt a community view. When our focus is not exclusively on ourselves, we can make an incredible impact. A Battle Ground Middle School teacher in her second year with TSC experienced this truth last month after emerging from a challenging time and feeling the BGM staff circle around her. Rayna Campbell wrote, "I feel so blessed to be surrounded by people in this corporation that care so much for me despite me starting here only a year ago." Let's uplift others, especially those newer to our buildings and to those we are just getting to know. Opportunities abound to make a difference.
