TECHNOLOGY MATTERS
Phishing emails spoof familiar email addresses
Did you know that phishing messages may look as though they are coming from a familiar email address, when really they aren't? Just because an email appears to come from @tsc.k12.in.us or another recognizable domain doesn't mean it is legitimate. Whenever you're asked to click a link in an email message, hover your mouse cursor over the link first, then look at web address preview that appears at the bottom of the browser window. If the link will send you to an unfamiliar website, there is a chance you're on the receiving end of a phishing message.

HEALTH MATTERS
INtegrate
September - Mindfulness: being mindful about your health
There are many challenges to be mindful about your health. So what do you do about it? Click  here  to read more.

Mindfulness Matters
For today’s post, we return to our focus on the “TSC State of Mind.” Adopting a mindfulness practice is easier than you might think. Consider mindfulness in this way: the goal is to build awareness in “small moments, many times.” This is why we implement Focused Attention Practices within our classrooms and work to build our stamina for the practice.

Mindfulness is a tool to build focus, sustain attention, build awareness and to notice in the present moment. Check out more on how to build your brain with mindfulness here .
Mayflower teachers prepare for yoga
Share how you INtegrate

INtegrate is a districtwide initiative that encourages students and staff to make healthy choices. That includes being more active. Several teachers at Mayflower Mill enjoyed yoga before school while the rest of the staff walked the hall.

Use #TSCINtegrate t o encourage others when you tweet/post pictures of how you are integrating movement into your daily routine.

Get ready to run
Cupcake Run/Walk for Public Education - Sunday at Cumberland Park

In preparation for this year's Cupcake Run/Walk for Public Education, TSC has secured a space and post-race snacks for all TSC employees who are participating in the event. Look for the MHS and HHS Cross Country canopy tents (which will be side-by-side) and feel free to use that space for stretching, shade, a meeting spot for your family and/or a great picture opportunity.

In addition to the space and shade, NuStart is donating snacks and water for any TSC employee/family member/friend to enjoy and refuel after the race. We have more than 100 runners and the INtegrate Committee is excited to highlight this event that brings us together to celebrate wellness and our profession. See you there!
