UPCOMING ART EVENTS AND NEWS
Art Potpourri is an exhibition of drawings (graphite, color pencil, charcoal, pen & ink), pastels, Zentangle, collage, clay, mixed media etc,. Current (within the last year) TSC Art Participants, students and teachers can display up to two artworks. Deliver Monday morning, June 6, to the second floor auditorium, between 9:00-10:00am or bring the week before and store in the Arts Program Coordinators Office.
Please email heathhilary.mcrae@talgov.com if you plan on including artwork in the Art Potpourri Exhibit. Pick up artwork from the Creativity in Oils & Acrylics same day and time - if you cannot pick it up, please send an email.
NEW WORKSHOPS ALERT

Starts May 17th - Create images on paper with a variety of media and visual art processes – a creative time for experimenting with mixed media projects for beginners and continuing students. Use your sketchbook to develop ideas and images with drawing, painting, collage, and simple printmaking techniques.

May 18th - Slow down to focus on a personal, weekly journey as you create beautiful tangle fragments in a labyrinth on a large Opus grey tile with blue ink. Participants will be encouraged to visit and to explore a local labyrinth in a forest.
Prerequisite: MUST Have Attended Introduction to Zentangle Sessions


May 26th - Making art is not just about the skill of rendering an image. This class calls you to artistically tell your own life story. Class discussions go beneath the surface to focus on your life experience, your memories of events, and exploration of your emotions.

On-going studio classes meet on a weekly basis and do not require pre-registration; Pay the days you attend.  $10 per class Seniors (age 50+), $12 Others (age 18-49). Or buy an art card that gives you eight classes for the price of seven. Before joining, visit the class, chat with the instructor, and receive a supply list. Workshops do require pre-registration and pre-payment. All classes are located at the Senior Center Art Studio unless otherwise noted (under neighborhood locations).

Artists, TSC for the Arts needs your talent for our greeting card fundraising gallery. Paintings are 5"x7". There will be paper cut to size on the bulletin board in the art studio.

Help yourself, paint away and drop off your small art at TSC, care of the Art Program Coordinator, Heath Hilary McRae.

Pastel Landscapes Instructor, Wendy Devarieux will be showing at the St. Augustine Arts Association from June 3 - June 22, 2022 in there Annual Honors Show.
