Dear Tri-State Chamber Sponsors & Members,
I hope this finds each of you well and that you’ve been enjoying the beautiful weather of the past few days. I know everywhere I turn, I’m seeing sure signs of Spring, from the crocuses & snowdrops to the chipmunks and, yes, the bears. Spring is the season of rebirth and renewal and signifies, for most of us, a time of growth and new beginnings. How fitting that we are in the midst of just such a time within our Tri-State Chamber!
One sign of our new beginnings can be found in this very newsletter, which has been beautifully redesigned by our very own Jean Saliter. We hope you’re finding it more streamlined and easier to read! Another change here is in this communication. Unlike the “Coffee with the President” of the past, for the most part, I will be writing to you here just once a month, following our Board Meetings, to give you the most up-to-date information on what’s happening.
Our most recent Board Meeting, held March 5, was incredibly productive! We were joined by our new Bookkeeper, Lisa Duntz, who gave a full report on all she’s done since taking on this role, and took time to ask and answer questions regarding our needs. She and Jean, working tirelessly in this transition, have encountered numerous hurdles and now have us in a much better position on many fronts. We discussed Membership Benefits, Membership Drives, BAH, and our calendar of events for the year. A Membership Letter will be going out in the mail in early April, with details on this information and more.
On other fronts: we’ve gained one new Member so far this year & have commitments from four others; BAH events are booked through the end of the year (with a possibility of some Business Before Hours events on the horizon); Committee Chairs have been named & planning for our events (old & new) is well underway; and the website will soon have some great new updates.
Your Board of Directors is excited to help take TSC to new levels this year, and we look forward to your involvement in the process! Please don’t hesitate to ask how you can become more involved.
Sláinte is táinte,
(health and wealth)
Mary
