Letter from the Executive Director

The Schools Foundation had a great first session of the Principally Speaking Network! Principally Speaking Network “PSN” is a professional development program for school administrators designed to assist participants in increasing student achievement through more effective leadership practices.

Over 200 Principals and school administrators enjoyed networking and learning from our guest speakers and colleagues. We enjoyed hearing from Dr. Kathy Murphy - Gadsden State President, Mr. Troy Kemp - Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships at the Ron Clark Academy, and Dr. Brandon Payne - Deputy State Superintendent of Education for Administration and Finance.

Sincerely,

Jeanne Baird Greer

IS A 2024 MODEL PLC AT WORK

Walnut Grove Elementary School has been designated a 2024 Model PLC at Work!

This prestigious honor recognizes the WGS faculty and staff's dedication to the Professional Learning Community process and their tireless efforts to enhance student learning. We're proud to see the impact of their hard work!

To mark this achievement, the amazing teachers at WGS were treated to a special lunch and a visit from beloved former principal, Mrs. Yolanda Wright, who played a pivotal role in this journey.

But that's not all! The teachers were also surprised with heartwarming video messages from former students sharing their favorite memories of their favorite teachers.

Thank you to the entire Walnut Grove community for your unwavering support.
