The TSF merit awards include the Bill Spaulding Merit Award, the Boston College Academic Achievement Award and the Dan Blanchard History & Athletics Award.

Fund Sponsor Reception

Honoring new permanent scholarship funds

The Fund Sponsor Reception, held every other year, is one of TSF’s most meaningful traditions - an opportunity to celebrate the stories and legacies behind our newest permanent scholarship funds.


At the 2026 reception, 21 funds were recognized, with family and friends representing 13 funds in attendance. Inspiring and deeply-moving fund stories were shared honoring the individuals, families and organizations whose legacies, through the funds in their names, will support generations of Wakefield students.


Our refreshed website includes expanded content, new photos, and enhanced features to better showcase our mission and scholarship funds.


A new addition is the Scholarship Funds List, where you can explore the story behind each scholarship fund and learn about the individuals, families, businesses, and organizations whose legacies support Wakefield students.

Harold N. Comins Fund

While TSF’s mission is providing scholarship aid to local students, an equally important role we play is remembering and honoring many of our townspeople and local organizations.



 To remember community members, both young and old, families, local groups and businesses in a positive and active way is a significant reason for our accomplishments since 1960 and our continued growth in aiding Wakefield students.
