Dear Annual Meeting Registrant,
The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) Leadership has, after thoughtful consideration and comprehensive evaluation of the currently available information related to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, made the decision to postpone the TSHP Annual Seminar, originally scheduled for April 17-19 in Galveston.
The rescheduled Annual Seminar is scheduled to take place Friday, September 4
th through Saturday, September 5
th in Galveston. If you are currently registered for the Annual Seminar and plan to attend the rescheduled event, no additional action is required. However, if you do not plan to attend the rescheduled seminar, you may request a full refund by sending an email to
[email protected] by Friday, April 17. All cancellation fees will be waived through this date.
Any hotel reservation booked through TSHP’s Moody Gardens room block will be cancelled automatically without penalty. Registrants who booked housing through other sources or directly with hotels must cancel their own reservations. Registrants planning to attend the rescheduled Seminar will need to make a new hotel reservation once the new reservation link becomes available.
Additional information regarding registration, hotel reservations, and meeting logistics will be available on the 2020 Annual Seminar FAQ page on Monday, March 16
th.
If you are also registered to attend the 2020 Alcalde Meeting, you will receive a separate email notification regarding that event.
In addition, in order to ensure that our registrants are able to obtain their TSBP-required CE hours necessary for license renewal, these courses (including the law, opioid, and preceptor CE) will be made available digitally in April for those individuals transferring their registration to the rescheduled Annual Seminar.
The health, safety, and well-being of all Annual Seminar attendees and the patients and communities that they serve are TSHP’s highest priorities. Thank you for your patience and support at this time. We understand the gravity of this rapidly developing situation and sincerely appreciate your efforts to continue providing the most advanced pharmaceutical care to our patients across the state. We will collaboratively persevere through these uncharted waters.
Questions regarding Annual Seminar should be directed to the TSHP office at (512) 906-0546 or
[email protected].
Sincerely,
Steven Knight
