GRADUATION EDITION | JUNE 2021
The Take Stock Seminole County - Class of 2021 was honored with a Graduation Celebration to celebrate their hard work and achievements. Each of these outstanding students receives a 2-Year Florida Prepaid College Tuition scholarship. Our 23 graduates earned an average 3.57 GPA, completed 2,400+ community service hours and 40% of our graduates earned additional scholarships! These graduates will begin their college journeys at colleges including Florida Atlantic University, University of Central Florida, Seminole State College and Vanderbilt University.

Take Stock - Leader 4 Life Fellow
Now graduating from the rigorous IB program at Seminole High School, Destiny Ukachukwu began her journey migrating from Nigeria at age six with her single-mom and sisters to escape a community of misogyny and poor healthcare. Determined to make the most of her educational opportunities in the United States, Destiny earned an incredible 4.6 GPA while also participating in band and volunteering over 350 community service hours in high school. Destiny is one of six Take Stock seniors selected as Leaders 4 Life Fellows. Destiny also earned the prestigious QuestBridge scholarship and matched with Vanderbilt University for a full four-year scholarship. Destiny will pursue a degree in Medicine, Health and Society.

Take Stock in Children, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, transforming Florida one student at a time. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty for low-income, academically qualified students by providing opportunities for a post-secondary education. We offer college scholarships to students, provide caring volunteer mentors, and instill hope for a better life. 

The Foundation for SCPS mission is to improve student achievement in Seminole County Public Schools by: raising and distributing funds and in-kind donations; fostering involvement in schools by business and the community; and providing recognition and rewards for outstanding contributions to, and performance within, the school system.
