Training Opportunities Across Tennessee
Interested in learning more about suicide prevention, intervention, or postvention? TSPN is always offering trainings across the state, for FREE! Whether it is a general suicide prevention training or more in depth trainings, such as Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, there are always opportunities to learn to better prevent suicide in our state. To keep in the loop about trainings, visit our calendar of events , reach out to your Regional Director to be added to our email list, and follow us on Social Media ! You can also request a training from our website: tspn.org !
Veterans Suicide Prevention Task Force
The Veterans Suicide Prevention Task Force had its first meeting September 6th. The focus on the Task Force is to understand Veteran Suicide in Tennessee, raising awareness of Veteran Suicide, and how we can intervene and reduce the stigma around Veteran Suicide. Commissioner Grinder noted,as Veterans, “we are not broken, we may be a little bent, but we are not broken." To find out more on the Task Force, including the Mission for the group, review the TSPN Press Release .
License Plate: An Update
We have already reserved over 325, lets keep it going!! Follow us on Facebook (@TSPNorg) to join the #tspnlicenseplatechallenge to help us get to 1,000 and be the first in the Nation to have a suicide prevention plate!
The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN), in coordination with the Jason Foundation, AFSP, and other advocacy groups, is officially reserving orders for the official specialty license plate promoting suicide prevention authorized by state legislation. In order to get this license plate for any, TSPN must collect 1,000 order reservations; without these 1,000 there will not be a license plate for Tennessee, so help us spread the word !
Get to Know Your Leaders Across the State!
TSPN would like to thank those that make suicide prevention possible in Tennessee. We are going to begin this with Advisory Council, Emeritus Member, and Staff highlights. Nothing we do at TSPN is possible without the dedication of these individuals and their continued time and commitment to TSPN and suicide prevention, and for that we must thank you! Email them and thank them for what they do!
Thank you to all those who have donated to TSPN!
We can not do it without you!
